The Student Media Team is a student-led media agency with the ultimate goal of enabling students to pursue creative endeavours, develop creative skills, and open doors into creative enterprise.

I founded this group to bring together previously independent and siloed creatives at the University of Exeter. We have now grown to a team of over 30 students. By having this expansive network of specialist creatives, we are able to execute creative projects to an industry standard working alongside real clients across the UK, all while upskilling students.

CLIENT: AEROBILITY AND AEROSPARX
"If I can fly an aeroplane, what else can I do?"
Aerobility is a charity that enables disabled people – without exception – to learn and fly a plane. The Student Media Team was brought onboard by their partner Aerosparx to film and document some of the touching and inspiring stories that made up this charity.

We spent several weekends across the UK documenting the many stories involved, from pilots in wheelchairs to a veteran BA pilot flying without propellers.

I have been fortunate enough to be part of some amazing initiatives run by students and staff at the University of Exeter to promote student well-being.
​
The Eating Difficulties Peer Support Group is an invaluable initiative started by students in collaboration with the well-being centre to help address such a pressing issue for many students – previously surrounded by stigma.
I also worked alongside the Student Guild, filming a broad range of society activity to promote the Guild Hardship Fund, which would enable students with financial struggles to fully experience societies and events.
